Taking Back Control: Designing Meta-AI for Remedy’s First Sandbox Game
AI and especially meta-AI is all about pacing and managing player experience, making sure that the player is always engaged and pushed to do things that will make the game more fun. With Control’s open-ended metroidvania structure, we couldn’t stick with what we knew. This talk describes what we learned along the way.
